San Antonio Bound - Reply
It looks as though hubs and I are going to be in San Antonio here soon. We aren't going to be at Lackland AFB, we're actually going to be at Fort Sam Houston. Is anyone else here from FSH? Or are all y'all from Lackland only? I couldn't find a FSH UG when I searched, so I assumed everyone from both bases was on here.
Anyway, a little about me, I'm a Navy wife, hubs is a Corpsman, and we have 3 fur children and 1 scaled brat. Our pets are 2 cats and a dog, and our scaled one is a 13 inch lizard. I am a Scentsy consultant and also a professional dog trainer. Once we get settled in San Antonio, we're going to be adding to our family by adopting children, since I am unable to conceive. I'm super excited about coming to Texas, I've never lived in the big state and am looking forward to the new experience. I hope to get to meet some of you ladies (and gents if there are any here) once we move!

Are you about to PCS to GERMANY? -

GermanDriversLicense.com
Hello all! When you first find out that you will PCS to Germany, one of the first questions you will probably ask yourself is "will I be able to drive there?" - The answer is YES, but you will have to take the official Germany USAREUR (US Army Europe) driving test.
We created USAREURpracticeTest.com to help you pass your German USAREUR driver license exam the FIRST time you take it. We have taken our content straight from the official study material, so all you need to know is in one place. We hope that you find this site useful in assisting you to pass your test the first time you take it.
We recognize that this site may not be for everyone here, but please pass the word around to anyone you know who is about to take their test! The site is absolutely FREE for everyone. The test is notoriously hard, and military officials recommend you set aside at least 12 hours for study. With the help of our site, you can cut that time down and spend more time doing things you actually WANT to do ;)
You don't have to wait to take the test until you get to Germany - in many places you can also take the test state-side, so now is as good a time to start practicing as any!

Hey there, I'm Vanessa. I'm 27 years old, been married 8yrs, I've got two furr babies and no kids right now. The hubby and I will be pcsing to Fort Sam Houston here in the next few weeks. I'm hoping to meet other military wives as well. We've been stationed in Twentynine Palms, CA and have been here for the past three and half years. We're both from San Antonio so we're glad to be back. Just in time for Christmas. I love downtown during Christmas.

Well, I'm not stationed at Lackland but I was there once when I watched my wife graduate BMT back in April of 2004. Nice base.
We weren't married at the time, just dating....but I proposed to here there, in front of her TI's! Lol! (I'm former US Army so it wasn't a scary thing for me...I had DRILL SGT'S!). We eventually made our way to her first base, Moody AFB in south Georgia. We had a good time there, it's really a peaceful base (I was stationed at Fort Knox when I served....so going from a live firing tank range to the occasional T-38/A-10 was a welcomed quiet!).
Anyhow, we stayed at Moody for nearly 5 years then got orders for ENGLAND! We were very excited. Well, we've been here for 3 years now....and another one to go. Can't wait to go back to the states. The Sun never shines here, I recently found out I am "Vitamin D3 Deficient" due to the lack of Sunshine here. There are lots of people that actually have to go through "light therapy" since the lack of Sun puts them in a depression mentally.
England is nice, in it's own ways. But we sure do miss home. Can't wait till the orders come in. We're hoping for Eglin or somewhere else in Florida, or maybe Moody again...heck maybe even Warner Robbins. Anywhere but more overseas duty! Lol! My wife is stationed at RAF Mildenhall but we live on RAF Lakenheath.
I just saw this thread as I'm a moderator on the underground this side of the ocean and thought "what the heck, nothing wrong with a little small talk!" I hope you guys in Texas are enjoying the Sun and PLEASE will someone eat some Mexican food for ME over by the Riverwalk!?! Lol! I miss it! :)

Hi everyone, my name is Jennifer Rodriguez. I'm here probably until May/June, my husband is currently deployed in Afghanistan, so I'm here staying with family. We are originally stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. I'm 24 years old, and have two kids. My son will be 4 next month, and my daughter is 3 months. I am a Tupperware consultant, mostly for fun, and to get the discount, lol.

Hello! I just wanted to start a thread for everyone to introduce themselves, and tell a little about themselves and their families.
My name is Tara Carroll. My husband was stationed here in June, after being in Germany for 4 years! We are both originally from Texas, and SO glad to be back! :) I am about to turn 24, and have a daughter who will be 3 in December. I just started making and selling tutus and bows, and I'm trying to get that up and going, to make a little extra money! Although we've been here for 5 months already, I still haven't met any other military spouses, and would love to go to know some of you!
